The special guest of the Silicon Mountains Summit was the President and co-Chief Executive Officer of Synopsys, laureate of Global IT Award 2020, Dr. Chi-Foon Chan. His speech was “Thriving in Our Changing Environment”. Dr. Chan joined Synopsys in 1990 as Vice President of Applications and Services where he helped build the Technical Field organization. As Synopsys’ co-CEO, Dr. Chi-Foon Chan shares responsibility for crafting vision and strategy, leading the company, and ensuring execution excellence in support of the customers’ success. Dr. Chan holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University; and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University.

Silicon Mountains Forum dedicated to Smart Solutions in economy
Silicon Mountains, a Tech Summit dedicated to the application of smart solutions in economy (Digital Smart Economy), will kick off in Yerevan, on November 19, 2021. The forum is organized by the Union of Employers of ICT already for the 2nd time. The partners of the event are Synopsys Armenia, ACBA Bank and Ministry of HTI of Armenia. The General Partner of the event is Unicomp.
The special guest of the forum is the President and co-Chief Executive Officer of Synopsys, laureate of Global IT Award 2020, Dr. Chi-Foon Chan.
Within the framework of the conference state officials and executives from the leading Armenian ICT companies will discuss the future of Smart Economy and digitalization.

The opening speech will be made by Yervant Zorian (President of Synopsys Armenia), followed by Armen Baldryan (Chairman of UEICT). Event participants will be also greeted by Ministers of HTI and Economy (Vahagn Khachaturyan and Vahan Kerobyan correspondingly).
After the welcome speeches the presentation of Dr. Chi-Foon Chan will follow. The official part of the event will close with Postcard cancellation and signing of MOU between Ministry of HTI of RA, Ministry of Economy of RA, Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia and Union of Employers of ICT. The official opening part of the Summit will be followed by panel discussions.
