Ahead of Silicon Mountains 2026, Representatives of the Tech Sector Meet the Media
October 29, 2026
With Silicon Mountains Summit & Expo 2026 less than a week away, the event’s organisers and partners held an informal meeting with journalists in Yerevan to present this year’s main themes, the new format and the speakers. The summit takes place on November 3–4. The meeting was held with the support of the Summit’s Platinum Partner, Ucom.
The conversation brought together representatives of the Summit’s organisers, partners and leading media outlets. Armen Baldryan, President of the Union of Employers of ICT (UEICT) and CEO of Unicomp, and Eduard Musayelyan, Executive Director of UEICT, were joined by Ralph Yirikian, CEO of Ucom; Aram Mkhitaryan, Head of Yandex Armenia and Regional Head for Central Asia and the Caucasus at Yango Group; Gurgen Mardoyan, Director of the PMI Science Research Center in Armenia; Nzhdeh Hovanessian, National Coordinator of EU4Innovation; Luiza Ayvazyan, Head of the Armenia Office of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE); and Hovik Musayelyan, Director of Synopsys Armenia.
“Invest in Innovation”
This year’s edition runs under the theme “Invest in Innovation” and focuses on developing business cooperation, financing technological innovation and attracting international investment.
Participants at the meeting highlighted that investment in technology is not only about financial resources. Knowledge, human potential, infrastructure and international cooperation are equally important, and platforms such as Silicon Mountains help connect global technology trends with Armenia’s development prospects.
What’s New in 2026
For the first time, Silicon Mountains will run for two days and include a technology expo, giving startups and technology-focused educational institutions a place to present their projects and solutions and to build new business connections.
The programme, held at Dvin Music Hall on November 3–4, includes discussions with international experts, a technology expo, startup presentations, workshops and business meetings, the awarding ceremony of the International Microelectronics Olympiad and the Microelectronics Forum. A new addition this year is a discussion dedicated to women’s leadership in technology, public administration and diplomacy.
“Silicon Mountains 2026 is where the leaders of the technology sector meet, and where technology turns into cooperation at every level: government, business, startups and education. A packed two-day programme and speakers of the highest international standing show that Armenia has the potential to confirm, once again, its place on the global technology map.”
— Eduard Musayelyan, Executive Director, UEICT
